There is no airport in Basti. The nearest one is Gorakhpur — Mahayogi Gorakhnath Airport — about eighty kilometres east, which works out to a little under two hours of real driving once you account for the town stretch at either end. That single fact is why airport transfers are their own service here rather than an afterthought: an eighty-kilometre gap between your house and the check-in counter is a gap you cannot fix at the last minute.
Rail is the other half of this. Basti railway station sits on the busy Gorakhpur–Lucknow section of North Eastern Railway, and a lot of what we do is simply putting people on trains and collecting them off trains — including the 1 a.m. arrivals when nothing else is running and the auto stand outside is empty.

For departures we work backwards from your flight, not from a time you guess at. Give us the flight number and the departure time and we set the pickup ourselves, allowing for the airport's small-terminal check-in queue, the Gorakhpur city stretch, and a buffer for the level crossings on the way in. For a domestic morning flight out of Gorakhpur that generally means leaving Basti around three and a half hours before wheels-up — earlier during fog season in December and January, when the NH-27 stretch can slow to a crawl before sunrise.
For arrivals we track the flight. If you land ninety minutes late the driver is still there, and you are not charged for the wait — that is the whole point of giving us the flight number. Tell us the train number rather than the time you want to leave — we know which platform the Gorakhpur-bound trains usually take, which entrance is open before dawn, and how long the approach road takes when a goods train has the crossing shut.
Pickups work the same way. Trains on this section run late often enough that we treat delay as normal rather than exceptional; the driver checks the running status before setting out and again on arrival. For late-night pickups the driver waits on the platform side with a phone, not in a car park three hundred metres away, which matters when you are travelling alone or with elderly parents.
We do the same at Khalilabad station and at Gorakhpur Junction, which is the practical railhead for anyone catching a long-distance train that does not stop at Basti.
A sedan handles two to three passengers with airline-sized bags. Four adults with four large suitcases genuinely will not fit in a Dzire boot, and every year somebody discovers this at 4 a.m. — tell us the bag count honestly and we will send the right car.
MPVs take six passengers with four or five bags and are the standard choice for a family flying together. For a wedding party or a group arriving on the same train, a Tempo Traveller with a roof carrier is far less stressful than convoying three cars.

Book at least a day ahead for airport work if you can. We do take same-day airport bookings and often manage them, but an eighty-kilometre run to catch a fixed departure time is not something to leave to chance.
